Considering we're starting to present apps a full two weeks before the release of the Kindle Fire, it might be nice to know how to start downloading them for when your device comes.
There are a couple of ways to get apps now and have them on hand for when the Fire arrives. For both, you have to submit your email address or mobile phone number in the space where the Buy Button usually is. If you already have an android device, you'll be able to download it to your phone immediately and then pull the app from your account and redownload it later. Assuming you've put in your email address, you'll get an email from Amazon with instructions for how to get the app later.
The email will first present you with a link to www.amazon.com/app-email, which when accessed from an android device will allow you to download the apps you've stored onto it. Keep this email, or at least the link until you're holding your Fire and have access to WiFi.
There's also a manual way to access this through your account that might be useful to know as well. The steps are simple (and included in the above email).
Open your device Setting and click "Applications."
If unchecked, click "unknown sources," click OK on the "Attention" dialog, and then open notifications. If "Unknown sources" is already checked, go right to notifications. From there, click the email message from the Amazon Appstore, and click the www.amazon.com/app-email link. Your stored apps will then download to your device.
Got it? Good. Now there's nothing stopping you from grabbing today's free App of the Day.

Description: You know how in the movies, the crumbling ancient city in the middle of the jungle is always overgrown with vines? That's the scene in InfeCCt, a contagiously entertaining puzzle game for Android.
Analysis: I'm usually a sucker for these games, even though I'm probably not the best at puzzles. From the reviews, it looks like it provides a lot to make you think without being overly taxing. Go ahead and give it a try!
